2012 July Park City, Utah
Sunday, July 22, we were once again off in the RV. We were headed to Park City, Utah. It was a real relaxing time!! Time to do laundry and relax after being on the go for a while.
When we arrived in Park City we met up once again with our friends Fred and Sharon, we had dinner with them, as they were off the next day and we were staying put for a week.
Have to say that Park City is no longer the same little sleepy Mom and Pop town that it was when we left in July of 2000. Since the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City there really has been building and more traffic. In fact, the traffic was so much that we did not even go into town. As you can see, the mountains around the area are still beautiful. The Olympic ski jump area is still there and the ski slopes are still the same.
We loved relaxing, shopping and I even got my hair cut! We went to the Farmers Market on Wednesday afternoon. We also had lunch with our in-laws (Kristy's parents), who live in Salt Lake before we packed up and headed out once again. It was great to visit with them and catch up!!
Sunday, July 29, we were off again, this time headed to Victor, Idaho. We had loved this place when we were there several years ago. Unfortunately things have changed there also! They have raised their rates being one of a very few RV parks in the area, and just over the hill from Jackson hole, WY. We only stayed there for one night and we headed to the Red Rock RV Park at Island Park, Idaho. This is on the west side of Yellowstone National Park.
More of our visit to this area later.
Love to all
