June in Minnesota

We arrived in Minnesota on June 2nd and it is shaping up to be a very busy month!

Grandson Michael Sieber (6 years) graduated from Kindergarten.  He looked so cute in his cap and gown.  Last weekend Michael and his Dad, Jeff, went fishing.  Michael could hardly wait to let me know that he caught 12 Walleye, plus the fact that he was the one that caught the biggest fish!!  They saved me some of the walleye and I had it for dinner last night.  It was great!!  There is nothing like fresh caught walleye.

Granddaughter, Abby Sieber turned 5years old.  This weekend she is having a birthday party with her friends from school.  That means more presents to open, one of her favorite parts!  She tells me that now that she is five she can listen better to what I say!  She loved the dress that we gave her.  It is from the Disney movie, Beauty and the Beast.  She loves Bell as you can see from the photo.

My Mother, Phyllis, turned 87 years young.  John and I took her out to lunch to celebrate.  Mother still gets out and about but she has slowed down quite a bit.  We hope to have a family picnic this month while we are here with my family.  Mother loves it when all six of her children can get together!!!

Daughter-in-law, Kristy and little Emery ( 1 year)  came out to see the new coach and have dinner.  Son, Keeth was out of town flying!  Emery had a great time.  I think Grandpa got tired out just watching her crawl around!

We left Florida to get away from the HOT weather and I think it followed us to Minnesota!!  Yesterday Minneapolis was the hottest city in the nation.  The temperature here was 103*.  John checked the temperature at home and it was 20* cooler there than here!!! Oh well, what can you do???

Well, that takes care of our first week here in the North land.  Stay tuned for more later.

Until then, have a great summer.
